Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3-4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade by whisking together soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Add minced garlic and ginger if desired.
- Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces and add to the marinade, mixing well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, using soaked wooden skewers if preferred.
- Grill the skewers for 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Let the skewers rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with sliced green onions.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with firm tofu or shrimp for a different twist. Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier version.
