Ingredients
- 2 fresh apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or substitute with almond or oat flour for gluten-free)

- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 egg

Instructions
- Peel and dice the apples into small, bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

- Fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the skillet.
- Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and dust with powdered sugar while warm.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider baking the fritters instead of frying.
