  • Total Time: 495 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef or Chicken Liver
  • Optional: turmeric or parsley

Instructions

  1. Select quality liver. Start with fresh, organic liver if possible.
  2. Prepare the liver. Rinse under cold water, then pat dry and slice into thin strips (1/4 inch thick).
  3. Preheat your dehydrator to 160°F or your oven to the lowest setting (170°F).
  4. Arrange the liver strips on dehydrator racks or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, avoiding overlap.
  5. Dehydrate for 6 to 8 hours in the dehydrator or 4 to 6 hours in the oven.
  6. Test for doneness; they should be brittle. Cool completely before serving.
  7. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

Ensure liver is sliced thinly to allow proper dehydration. Avoid using garlic and check for any signs of spoilage on liver.
