- 1 lb Beef or Chicken Liver
- Optional: turmeric or parsley
Instructions
- Select quality liver. Start with fresh, organic liver if possible.
- Prepare the liver. Rinse under cold water, then pat dry and slice into thin strips (1/4 inch thick).
- Preheat your dehydrator to 160°F or your oven to the lowest setting (170°F).
- Arrange the liver strips on dehydrator racks or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, avoiding overlap.
- Dehydrate for 6 to 8 hours in the dehydrator or 4 to 6 hours in the oven.
- Test for doneness; they should be brittle. Cool completely before serving.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
Notes
Ensure liver is sliced thinly to allow proper dehydration. Avoid using garlic and check for any signs of spoilage on liver.
