A soothing balm crafted from natural ingredients to protect and moisturize your dog’s paws.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 5 small jars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup Beeswax
  • 1/2 cup Shea butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive or jojoba oil
  • A few drops of essential oils (like Lavender or Peppermint)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Clean your surfaces and gather everything you need. A double boiler works best for this project.
  2. Melt the base ingredients: In a double boiler, combine coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter. Stir until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Add your oils: Once melted, remove from heat; add olive oil and essential oil. Stir well.
  4. Pour into containers: Carefully pour the warm mixture into jars or tins, leaving space for expansion as it cools.
  5. Cool and store: Allow the balm to set. Once solid, cap the jars and store in a cool, dark place.

Notes

Consider adding a teaspoon of vitamin E oil for added skin benefits. Avoid using too much beeswax to ensure easy application.
