- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour (or gluten-free flour)
- 1 cup Peanut Butter (natural, unsweetened)
- 1 cup Pumpkin Puree (or unsweetened applesauce)
- 2 Eggs (or flaxseed meal mixed with water for vegan option)
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 cup Plain Yogurt (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together your flour and baking powder.
- Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix your peanut butter, pumpkin puree, eggs, and any optional pureed fruits until smooth.
- Combine both mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour into a greased dog baking pan or a regular round cake tin, spreading the batter evenly.
- Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Frost with a mixture of yogurt and peanut butter once cooled.
- Decorate with small pieces of dog-friendly fruits or biscuits.
- Serve and enjoy with your furry friend!
Notes
Make sure to let the cake cool completely before frosting to prevent the icing from sliding off.
