Homemade dog biscuits made with coconut and fresh carrots, perfect for your furry friend.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup water or low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the whole wheat flour and unsweetened coconut flakes in a large bowl.
  3. Grate the carrots finely and add them to the flour mixture.
  4. Whisk together the egg and melted coconut oil in a separate bowl, then pour into the dry ingredients along with the water or broth.
  5. Mix until a dough forms, adding more water if too dry.
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick on a lightly floured surface.
  7. Cut out the biscuits using cookie cutters or a knife.
  8. Place the biscuits on a lined baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

These biscuits can be frozen for up to three months. Let them thaw before serving.
