- Capicola, salami, and mortadella
- Provolone and mozzarella cheese
- Sub rolls or ciabatta bread
- Romaine lettuce
- Cherry tomatoes
- Red onions
- Olive oil
- Red wine vinegar
- Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Chop the romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and onions finely. Cube the cheese and meats into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss together chopped vegetables, meats, and cheese. Drizzle the dressing over the mixture and gently fold to ensure everything is coated evenly.
- Slice the chosen bread. Spoon the filling generously onto the lower half and top with the other half. Lightly grill the assembled sandwich on a skillet until golden brown.
- Cut the sandwich into smaller portions and serve with a side of chips or salad.
Notes
Consider adding sautéed garlic mushrooms and fresh herbs for extra flavor. Allow flavors to meld for at least 30 minutes for best results.
