A delightful layered dessert with rich chocolate pudding, creamy topping, and a crumbled cookie topping that resembles dirt.

  • Total Time: 180 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 package crushed Oreos (or chocolate graham crackers)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
  • Optional garnishes: gummy worms or sprigs of mint

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate pudding mix and milk together according to package instructions. Allow it to sit for a few minutes until it thickens.
  2. Crush the Oreos in a resealable bag until they resemble fine crumbs.
  3. Assemble the Layers: Start with a layer of pudding at the bottom of a serving bowl, then add a layer of whipped topping, and sprinkle with crumbled cookies. Repeat the layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a top layer of crumbled cookies.
  4. Refrigerate the dessert for a few hours or ideally overnight.
  5. Just before serving, add gummy worms or fresh mint leaves on top.

Notes

Taste as you go; consider adding a splash of vanilla extract for enhanced flavor.
