Ingredients
- 2 cups boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1 cup rice (white or brown)
- 1 cup chopped vegetables (carrots and green beans)
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
Instructions
- Cook the chicken by boiling it in low-sodium chicken broth or baking it at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
- Prepare the rice according to package instructions, using the reserved chicken broth instead of water.
- Sauté the chopped vegetables in a separate pan for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
- Combine the shredded chicken, rice, and vegetables in a large bowl, adding more broth if desired.
- Serve once cooled to a safe temperature, or portion it out for future meals!
Notes
Ensure no garlic or onion is used as they are harmful to dogs. Experiment with dog-friendly veggies for variety.
