Delicious homemade dog treats that are chewy, nutritious and made with love for your furry friend.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup natural unsweetened peanut butter
  • 1 cup pure pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 egg (or unsweetened applesauce for vegan alternative)
  • 1 cup rolled oats (or oat flour for smoother texture)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the peanut butter and pumpkin in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and stir until well incorporated.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour, followed by the oats and cinnamon until dough is slightly sticky and thick.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then roll out to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Use cookie cutters to create fun shapes.
  7. Place the shapes on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let them cool completely before serving to your pup.
