Ingredients

  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grate the cheddar cheese.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour and garlic powder.
  4. Stir in the grated cheddar until well distributed.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the egg with the oil or softened butter.
  6. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until you form a stiff dough.
  7. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface and cut into desired shapes.
