Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1/4 teaspoon dried garlic)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until blended.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese and minced garlic, mixing until evenly distributed.
- Melt the unsalted butter and pour it into the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms. If sticky, work with floured hands until it comes together.
- Shape the dough into small balls about the size of a tablespoon and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Sprinkle flaky sea salt before baking for added flavor. The leftover dough can be frozen for quick snacks later.
