Delicious cookies that combine the sweetness of caramel and the freshness of apples for a delightful treat.

  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 24 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups chopped apples, peeled
  • 1 cup caramel sauce, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, blending thoroughly before adding the next, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples evenly throughout the dough.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden on the edges, slightly soft in the center.
  8. Drizzle with caramel sauce while warm and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle sea salt on the caramel just before serving. Use fresh apples for best texture.
