Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh button mushrooms (or cremini for richer flavor)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs (such as basil or thyme)
- 2 ounces vodka
- Optional: a splash of dry vermouth
Instructions
- Clean and slice the mushrooms.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the mushrooms and sauté until golden brown (about 5 minutes).
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, and chopped herbs.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine vodka and dry vermouth (if using).
- Strain the mushroom mixture into the shaker and shake gently.
- Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with herbs or extra mushrooms.
