- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp canola oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Begin by thinly slicing the beef against the grain into strips.
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- While the beef is marinating, steam the broccoli for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
- In a large skillet, heat canola oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear for about 2 minutes without moving. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Reduce heat, add the steamed broccoli, and pour in the marinade. Toss for about a minute to heat through.
