Delicious and nutritious muffins made with ground beef and grated carrots, perfect for your furry friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup freshly grated carrots
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Optional: pinch of parsley or basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin lightly with olive oil.
  2. Combine the ground beef, grated carrots, and eggs in a large mixing bowl, stirring until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the whole wheat flour and baking powder, mixing gently until the mixture forms a thick, batter-like consistency.
  4. Fold in any herbs if using.
  5. Divide the batter evenly into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until muffins are set and lightly browned on top.
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 5 days. These muffins can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
