Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 cup freshly grated carrots
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Optional: pinch of parsley or basil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin lightly with olive oil.
- Combine the ground beef, grated carrots, and eggs in a large mixing bowl, stirring until well combined.
- Gradually add the whole wheat flour and baking powder, mixing gently until the mixture forms a thick, batter-like consistency.
- Fold in any herbs if using.
- Divide the batter evenly into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until muffins are set and lightly browned on top.
- Allow to cool completely before serving to your dog.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 5 days. These muffins can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
