A refreshing Apple Sorbet that captures the essence of summer and evokes cherished memories.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds fresh apples
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • Optional spices (cinnamon or vanilla)

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel, core, and slice the apples into manageable pieces.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the apple slices with sugar, water, and lemon juice. Simmer over medium heat until apples are tender (15-20 minutes).
  3. Transfer the mixture to a blender and puree until smooth. Adjust sweetness if necessary.
  4. Let the puree cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
  5. If using an ice cream maker, churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until smooth. If not, pour into a shallow dish and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes for three hours to break up ice crystals.
  6. Once the desired consistency is reached, scoop and serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

Use a high-powered blender for the smoothest texture. Tasting as you go is key!
