Homemade dog treats made with apples and cranberries, perfect for your furry friends.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 20 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the peeled and diced apples, dried cranberries, and peanut butter in a large bowl.
  3. Add the oats, whole wheat flour, eggs, and cinnamon. Mix everything until it forms a cohesive dough.
  4. Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick on a floured surface. Cut into shapes using dog bone-shaped cutters or a knife.
  5. Place the pieces on your lined baking sheet, giving them space to expand while baking.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown, watching closely to prevent overcooking.
  7. Allow the dental sticks to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to two weeks. These treats can also be frozen for later use.
