Delicious and nutritious homemade chew sticks for your furry friends made with apples and cranberries.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (or almond/oat flour)
  • 1 cup fresh apples, diced
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup natural unsweetened peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup water (adjust as needed)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Core and chop the apples into small pieces.
  3. Combine the whole wheat flour and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add the apples, cranberries, peanut butter, and egg into the flour mixture. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a few minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
  7. Arrange the cut shapes on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container.

Notes
