Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup finely diced apples (seeds removed)
- ½ cup unsweetened peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- Water (as needed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine whole wheat flour, rolled oats, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
- Fold in diced apples, peanut butter, and egg, adjusting consistency with water.
- Roll out the dough to ½ inch thickness and cut into shapes.
- Place cutouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and firm.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for up to two weeks. Treats can also be frozen for up to three months.
