Ingredients
- 2 Apples, cored and chopped
- 2 Carrots, grated
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour (or rice/oat flour for gluten sensitivity)
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Core and chop the apples into small pieces. Grate the carrots.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped apples, grated carrots, oats, and flour. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add them to the dry mixture, mixing until a thick dough forms.
- If too sticky, add more flour until workable.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ½ inch thick and shape into bones.
- Place the bones on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Supervise your dog when trying a new treat and adjust the size of the bones based on your dog’s breed and chewing ability. Avoid overbaking them.
