Delicious and healthy banana dog treats made in the air fryer, perfect for your furry friend.

Ingredients

  • 2 overripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat/coconut flour for substitutions)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

Instructions

  1. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Add the peanut butter to the mashed bananas and stir until combined.
  3. Beat one egg in a small bowl and mix it into the banana and peanut butter mixture.
  4. Gradually add the flour and oats, stirring until combined. The dough will be thick and slightly sticky.
  5. Form the mixture into small balls or shapes, about 1 inch in size.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and place the treats in a single layer in the basket.
  7. Air fry for about 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow the treats to cool completely before serving.

Notes

These treats can also be frozen for up to three months. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
